And why would Microsoft sell out their own game like that? >_> especially their bestseller and key game?
They labeled Halo 3 as a PS3 killer, why on earth would they move it to the PS3, oh right, they didnt :rolleyes2

Meh, I could think of a half dozen FPS games on the PC, easy, that I had a lot more fun with than Halo (and some are free to boot), so even if this were true I wouldn't care. The first was a decent enough game for a console FPS, but there are too many PC games that it doesn't even compare to. Really, if I were a console FPS player, I'd be more excited about Half Life 2, episodes 1 & 2, TF2 and Portal all coming out for the next gen consoles.

This ain't happening. Halo sold the X-box, quite simply. It's the definition of a killer app. Microsoft will pay whatever they have to to keep a hold of it for the 360.

Bill gates is so rich it wouldnt matter to him if they lost Halo. its like pocket change compared to what he makes off windows. but ya, halo is all tht keeps that system alive. especialy when you consider you can get most other games for pc so why buy a consel. i have a freind who bought a 360 and he hasnt bought a single game for it yet, all he playes is halo.
Why is Halo so popular? I dont have an ounce of fun playing it.

Personally i think it would matter. It shows how smart Microsoft is about gaming, see if anyone would be so eager to develop for Xbox then afterwards or how this would be a huge part of their blemish in the history of video gaming. Theres more to it than just money, if Microsoft even wants to compete in the console wars, they need a key hook that sells a console, if its not there it shows more than just losing money especially if it moves on to a huge rival console.
