Well I personally would like to see Ferdinand given a chance. He's been England's best defender in the last 3 major tournaments, and he showed good leadership qualities at Leeds, and may well be United captain once Neville retires.
But out of your options, Gerrard, he carries Liverpool sometimes

Ashley Cole and Terry have both played better than Rio for the last couple of tournaments but it's Gerrard all the way for me, he's one of the best in the premiership.Originally Posted by tomamar04

Yeah I wanted Terry to be captain, too, but both of them would have been awesome captains.
