Look up the band Powerglove.
They did an awesome metal-ish cover of the tetris song, it sounds wonderful.
On their myspace it is up for download I think.
after listening to it ive decided yes. with a slight bit of modifying and a more rock style band playing it (like deep purple or the black mages.) because with electric guitars and jazzy/funky keyboard playing it would be perfect.

Nah, it wouldn't be a good idea for a boss battle. It's too associated with Tetris to be anything else I think.
