The first time I saw her die I was sad. As I progressed through the game I started to not really like her for some reason. So now when I see her die I feel kinda' neutral. I don't really care now![]()
Yes
No
I laughed my head off.
You heartless bastard!

Wait he says? Do I look like a waiter?! - Kefka
I was sad. Though, she did suck in battle; I was still sad to see her go. Cloud and Aeris were going to fall in love, it was going to be beautiful, then Sephiroth took it all away.
I think I was the sadest though when Alys died in Phantasy Star 4, then again I was 11 when played that game and was much more sensitive. lol
Speaking of, "heartless bastards," my best friend had a Buddy icon with Aeris getting stabbed by Sephiroth and the text saying, "PWNED!" It was pretty bad.
I was laughing like a crazy person until I realized that my white mage was gone... Then I was a but depressed at that until I appointed Vincent as the white mage!

I laughed my head off. Come on there wasn't even any blood. I remember thinking just use a phoenix down she'll be fine.
Heh that reminds me of this:

I didn't laugh, I was just like..."Oh, ok" and moved on in the story.

I love that comic strip!
You beat me to posting it!
Well, I knew it was going to happen, and still I insisted on leveling her up and crap. Don't know why but I really liked Aerith's character, so she was in the group whenever I had the chance to put her in there. And yet, I still shed tears when I saw that scene. It's been close to a year since I first saw that scene (yeah, I played VII a long time after it came out) and I still find her death sad. However, I can laugh at things such as the fact that a pheonix down would have probably worked, at how she sank in the water, and how Cloud was standing in the water when he let her go, yet in the next shot of her falling underwater, there is no such land that he could stand on. I don't laugh at the her death, per se, just when little jokes are made about it and the like. Her death is still a very tragic thing.
I didn't laugh, and I honestly think I would have been sad if the game hadn't been ruined completely and utterly for me by the time I played it.

Which FF Character Are You?
I didn't care that she died. She's only a video game character
Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

I'm playin through 6 today, and just got at the opera scene, when at the end, Setzer jumps down towards Celes, I was like "Watchout, B*tch!!!" then realized it wasn't Sephiroth.
Like most people, I had already known about it before playing the game. I wonder what the experience would have been like if I didn't.
It was sad, but i looked at it more as a great scene in gaming.
I was a little sad yes I wanted to kill the bad guy, sephiroth (whatever) more though so I was enjoyed by the idea because it made the game more interesting and it gave me a more personal anger and connection towards the villian of the game. I trained hard for her though but atleast my other characters stayed strong from that training.
I was more concerned about the materia I had equiped Aerith than that of herself - take that as you will.
...
Man, just drop it okay? I mean it. Cloud never was going to fall in love with her and it was never meant to be, unless the creators say otherwise. Anyways this is off the topic. I'm sorry but when people say this it really pisses me off. Just..let..it..GO!I was sad. Though, she did suck in battle; I was still sad to see her go. Cloud and Aeris were going to fall in love, it was going to be beautiful, then Sephiroth took it all away.
When Aeris died the only thing I thought was "Crap. There goes the party's healer. Great. " and that was it. Well, that and I was eager to see Cloud kick Sephiroth's happy a$$. But he didn't. dang.
