I gave out some vouchers on occasion to various staffers who I felt had really pulled a shift that year, usually site staff since it's generally the more "worky" task.

I genuinely would've paid for the experience I've had.
I know this is gonna sound stupid because it's managing a Final Fantasy forum, not An Important Thing, but reflecting back I've learned a hell of a lot. Working with people I'd never normally work with and getting to know their unique styles and idiosyncrasies, collaborating to achieve shared goals, challenging people in seniority and holding them accountable, devising plans and strategies on best way forward, dealing with difficult and challenging people, etc.
They've all been useful skills to acquire for my professional career and hey, I'm glad the mistakes and smurf ups I've had as I've learned and grown were made here and not in my dayjob! You gotta start somewhere, right?
