    Angry Oh god...

This is just terrible. All day long we were watching the news at school. I think i'm one of the few kids in my school who are acually taking this seriuosly. Some idiot 7th graders were going around saying stuff like "WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!" Jesus, why do they have to be so immature? Expecially since Baton Rouge, LA (where I live) is one of the top ten terrorist attack sites. Yeah, its pretty small in population, but it is very valueable because of the Exxons (high gasoline). If they attacked a chemical plant, it could explode and cause a chain reaction and destroy most of Baton Rouge. Yeah, I know, its highly unlikly, but its always better safe than sorry.

I dont' even know what to say about it. I'm in shock. It's one of the most horrible things I've ever seen in my life...probably the most horrible. We were watching live in English class when the towers collapsed...gah...

I can't think straight enough to know what to say now. Maybe later.

Its just a tragedy. Its like something straight out of movie, its so hard to comprehend. I just saw a segment on the news, a british reporter who was in the building as the planes hit was giving an interview to a US show, and you saw the tower collapse behind him. Its just horrific. You don't really understand what it was like until you see the towers collapse...its just terrible.

As for the war, i seriously doubt there is going to be one. What is there to go on? It wasn't an ordered attack by the country, it was more a terrorist attack on the US. There is nobody they can go to war with. George bush wants to punish them, i don't like the sound of that, he is too trigger happy for my liking.

And the people who were celebrating in Jerusalem, well i don't even want to comment on them.

First time I heard it in school, I thought my friends were kidding. Boy, was I ever so wrong. This is a tragedy, and outrage. Who would do such unthinkable acts?

This is definitely not going to be forgotten. The US will wake up and face reality.

All I have to say is whatever organization did this, if they get found out, is in huge trouble. Some of you may debate this, but the U.S. has been helping out all over the world for a long time, and whoever did this is gonna have most the missiles in the world aimed at them. Snootchie-bootchies, terrorists!

I don't think I've ever been so shook up.

I haven't even had time to be shook up, really. We had been kept away from information a good bit of the school day, so I didn't get to find out as much as I might have wanted... But still. It's terrifying. I've spent a good amount of my time today wondering if anything more would happen. Every chance I've gotten, I've been at a TV.

I think what's truly despicable are the people who laugh. That just makes me want to die. The algebra teacher burst in, early today. He practically ripped the radio out of the cabinet, and was met with.. jeers and laughs, when he announced that the World Trade Center was attacked. What idiocy. When a giant explosion rocked the first Tower, on replay, what was said? "Sweeeeet!"

I have never been so disgusted with the human race in my life. I have been lucky, but others have not been. I offer my sincere condolenses for the friends and families of the victims.

I was watching CNN, earlier. They were giving a profile on one of their correspondants who just so happened to have been on one of the planes. She had made a cell phone call, reporting the terrorists had been armed with knifes and cardboard cutters. Can you imagine being thrown in the back end of an airplane, flown to your death? I shudder at the thought.

Today has been a very sad day.

When I first heard it on the radio this morning, I thought that it was just some pilot goofing up and flying into the trade center by accident. After I learned about it being a terrorist attack, it made all the world of difference to me.

I'm scared. This could bring the end of the world...

First of all, I know I'm not an admin or anything, but out of repect I would ask that people don't use signitures in this thread. I may sound kind of pushy, but those like me, we'd rather not have to scroll through a bunch of unrelated things in a time as serious and emotional as this. I have seen a few signitures that have been changes for this occasion, and I congradulate your dedication to be serious about such a horrific event. Now for something some of you may not want to read:

Haven't any of you expected something like this? I know it is horrible and evil and something that should not have to be viewed by anyone, something that should have never happened. But you all act like you're surprised about all of this, sooner or later we would end up having a terrorist attack more horrible than any other. I'm not one to care much about anything, but when I do, I tend to look at it logically. The USA has been acting like global police ever since it became a world power. People don't like being pushed around, people hit back. And it is especially easy for small terrorist groups to hit like this. I once saw in a movie someone say that anyone can assassinate anyone else, if willing to pay the consequences. Well if enough people rally together, they can assassinate a power, and If they die, then there are no more consequences. I may seem like this doesn't effect me, and I try to make it not effect me, so I can look at this logically.

Just saw on TV, if there is a retaliation, most likely on afganistan. Also, a trial for an associate of ben ladin, who has been blamed for a different bombing attack, had been schedualed for tommarow. I also agree with Red Wizard in that they have said that fires were in NY and the smoke has been making it impossible to find out how strong the fires are.

Britt-Today, I visited a board I rarely go to, and they cracked so many jokes about it. It was disgusting. I know how you feel. And also, my school wouldn't let us watch the TV either. My principle was being so naive. She couldn't even see history in the making...

    I'm so...

    All those lives...

    And...

I watched the news all through first period, then listened to teh radio last period.
Now they're showing the 'after-shock' images. I just feel.......I can't find the words. I don't think I should try to. You all know what I mean.

God...I don't really know what to say...except that I agree with this completely....

    "To anyone who reads this:
I hope with everything I have that all of you are alright. I can't believe a tragety of this magnitude has happened. People still think that violence will solve all the problems. That this grusome justice is necessary to solve things. The people who think revenge is necessary are foolish. They're just as bad as the ones responsible for this. Even in the country responsible, I have no doubt in my mind that there are people there who strive for peace. And those innocent people don't deserve to die either, which is why I'm against such harsh retaliation. Death, on either side of this event, is tragic. I know it's hard to have pity, but think about it: there must have been something gone horribly wrong in those people to do something that awful, and I pity them for that. I hope you all are safe.
    - Elyse"

That's Elyse's away message and it's EXACTLY how I feel...what's going to happen now? Bush is going to order that those responsible are dealt with. Then what? They'll attack more. Then we'll attack. Over and over....this is just going to get worse and worse...it'll be months before the damage will be fixed, some of which will never be fixed. My heart goes out to all those who lost someone in the attacks or even knows someone who did...as I do. Well...I hope you're all safe....I am for now...but who knows...I live near the three labs in America where they do research on nuclear weapons...if one got bombed.....I live two miles from the biggest of the three...if they went for it.....

God dammit. This just isn't fair. How can people do this kind of thing? I don't understand...and there's nothing we can do...*sigh*...this isn't fair...
    No.

This is a sad day for history. I pray for everyone's safety and hope the mastermind behind this pays with pain. I'm sorry, I just don't want to get verbal here and be very vulgar.

I just saw the worst clip on TV...It was from right under the tower, and you saw the plane go into the tower and just explode right inside. This is terrible.
