I would probably go play video games or have sex (the usual) - Nominus Experse
my mom would be like "ve? yo te dije, el internet no es bueno."
"seriously, my mom tells me "que tu hase en eso el dia entero?" and im like "mami yo toy hablando con people" xD. spanglish, ftw." ~ liz
I would if I had a surround sound system, but I don't.
Psst, you know you need that, right? You won't magically get surround sound from your games if you only have stereo speakers. :)

In the future maybe but not now.
I wish.![]()
I play my computer games in surround sound. Wouldn't have it any other way.
As for consoles in my house...the PS2 and Gamecube only have stereo outputs which only give Dolby Pro Logic 2, which is not true discrete surround sound.I guess the optical out on the PS2 could be used for something, but it rarely ever is.
I haven't tried it with a video game yet. Just with movies, and I wasn't all that impressed.
i have a smaller tv in my bedroom, so that also means it comes with limited features. i just turn them up a little and turn all the game's volume settings to maximum...
Surround sound in action games is awesome. Stuff is constantly coming at you from all sides and if your speakers (or headset) is set up right it pushes the immersion into a whole new dimension.
Currently it's an entirely optional part of games. You're not really missing a vital game mechanic if you don't have it, and if you play mostly RPGs you probably wouldn't need it at all. I'm sure RPGs can/do use it, but it's not as effective as, say, hearing a Covenant alien sneaking up behind you in Halo.
No. I'm happy enough with a pair of headphones.
Money, power, sex... and elephants.

I play the games that support it in surround. Which is mostly comptuer games.
no matter how important something might be (ie. a giant meteor is in the sky and threatening the planet) you can always just stop in at the Golden Saucer and gamble on some dodos running around a track.

I'd like to try Eternal Darkness with surround sound.

I was until my gerbil escaped and chewed the wires. I put it back in its cage and duck taped the hole and do so every day until I get a better cage. *sniff, sniff.* It almost got my precious PS2.... I should have fed it to the dog....
Ive played a few games like that. It was awesome
