That kid stole my career choice
I always thought that line was intentional. Some kid out in Spira knows that he has no athletic ability whatsoever but wants to make it big in sports. So the only way he'll make himself famous is to get nailed by a Jecht Shot, fired at a goal, and break his neck upon goal impact, knowing in the last seconds of his life that he was what got nailed and scored the winning point for the Zanarkand Abes.
It was a pretty funny line.I wonder if it was intended or accidental. I guess the only way to know that is if someone has played the Japanese version.
