There is no possible way that I can narrow it down to my one, singular favorite... there are just too many that I commonly listen to (490+ artists)

I listen to almost exclusively solo artists, but I assume by 'band' you mean musical act, because for whatever reason a lot of people don't remember solo artists anymore.
That said, my favorite musical acts are:
1. John Denver (band features James Burton, Mike Taylor, Dick Kniss, and others)
2. James Taylor (band features Cliff Carter, Bob Mann, and others)
3. Tom Paxton (generally plays solo)
4. The Beatles
