I think him slaughtering all of Nibleheim was enough to prove his evil. Killing civvies is a lot more evil than killing the person who is directly opposing your plan. One is common sense. The other is excess.
Addendum: Actually, her death did not make me want to finish the game. I had all the necessary motivation already.
Her limits were nice but often redundant or unnecessary. Her Magic stat was higher than anyone else's, but not by much, and not enought to make up for all her other much lower stats.And she's really not useless in the game, my party really suffered after she left. Her limit breaks are priceless for their ability to heal the party and her skill with materia is unmatched. She's also sexy.
Her sexiness is your own perogative, but is really irrelevant to her usefulness.
Oh yeah, and Galuf and Leo at least fought back against the evil boss.
