I like the music in the game, but I've never played it.

Its way too hard to figure out. I don't have the patience or the cunning to run around and click on every little thing and mix things together in just the right order and figure out exactly where and how to use them. Overly contrived adventure games like that kinda irk me. But the story was cool. Too bad you need a walkthrough to get any of it.

Monkey Island games are my favourite ever, I love them... the music, the humour... the story and everything. Guybrush! Also, I don't think you need a walkthrough. You can just try everything and pretty soon you'll get there. Sure you may get really stuck on some things, but that's the point, you have to figure it out.
Those sort of games aren't for everyone I guess but I grew up with them, and I have the best memory of those games.
I like how Pirates of the Caribbean 2 has a lot of similarities to Monkey Island
I love that game, along with Day of the Tentacle, Sam 'n' Max, Full Throttle, and Grim Fandango
Gotta love them adventure games.

I love adventure games (especially the Myst series and Grim Fandango), but I am ashamed to say I have played very little of Monkey Island.

Jeepers, you're Guybrush Threepwood, everybody's favorite pirate. Unless you like Captain Hook or something. You are sweet, funny, kinda dorky... actually you're really dorky... and you have very big pockets. You get yourself into big messes and have trouble with the opposite sex. And, most importantly, you can hold your breath for ten minutes!
