The signature height limit is 250 pixels. You're killing your father, Larry.

Mario Kart DS is rather savory. I recommend it. And New Super Mario Bros. is rather dilectable. And Super Mario 64, if you don't have the original, is rather tastey.

Bleach DS is probably the best game for the DS, get that.

    IMO:

    Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Viewtiful Joe Double Trouble (this is even better than the console versions, and actually uses the touch screen to the fullest, unlike other DS titles)

And if you can import games, then get Rockman ZX, especially if you like Castlevania/Metroid-like level structure. If not, then wait for the English version that comes out next month.

Other than those games, Mario Kart DS, New Super Mario Bros., and Sonic Rush are pretty damn good.
Xenogears is the tragic story of how your whole life can take a crappy turn, just because you happened to see a lady in a wedding dress before her wedding.

how true is that? im thinking of grabbing it cos improving my brain function can't be a bad thing...

how different is it from any puzzle game? is it very very specifally programmed to make your brain work in an "improving" fashion?
it just sounds too BS for me

Well, as you play through the game your 'Brain Age' will/should go down, which gives the illusion of being smarter. It really tests your accuracy and speed on different subjects, so if nothing else it keeps your brain sharp.

Probably won't help you ace any exams though, unless it's grade 3 math.
