HELP! Running FFXII

Guess what FFXII came out in China. And while my friend was visiting there he bought it, but... will it work on an American computer, and if it won't how can you make it work? Are there any patches you can download to make your computer run foreign software because I would love to tell him I know how to make it work. (Not to mention play it before many other Americans!

)
EDIT- He can speak and somewhat read Chinese too so he could tell me some of the story.

you're going to need a mod chip, Swap Magic, or i think HD Advance/loader can run imports too that is if you have a HDD for you're ps2

Your talking about FFXI, FFXII hasnt been released for the PC.

The only FFs that have been on PC were VII, VIII and XI. The game was only released on PS2. Look in wikipedia, it's writen "Platforms : PS2" Errors happen, you must have seen wrong.

This is China we're talking about. Someone probably bought FF12 over there. Used a DVD-copier. Re-packaged it as a PC game. Who knows

I don't think there are any decent PS2 emulators out yet. Try again in a few years.

PCSX2 is making good progress actually, a dual core CPU with MTGS support can run FFX at 30-128 fps.

Call me what you want I'm just trying to help a friend run some software

Also I think you all misunderstood me the problem is the game is in Chinese and I don't know if his computer can run Chinese software.

And we're saying it wasn't released on PC, even if its own country of origin, as it wasn't designed for PC. So you're going to have more problems than just a cultural software barrier. Its a bootlegged PS2 game packaged for PC. I highly doubt your friend will get it to work on his computer no matter what he does.
