FFV's sprites differed from Amano's designs much more than those of FFIV and FFVI did.

I quite like the new portraits, but I wished they would have based them off the sprites instead. Oh well, it's an awsome game no matter what![]()
I was too busy squinting to see the screen shots to worry about the Amano Art
I don't know about you, but I had an even harder time recognizing Squall, Rinoa and Seifer in the arts Amano did for FF VIII, for instance
That being said, I love Amano's work, and not just for FF (Wolverine and Elektra, Vampire Hunter D....). But I can see how that's not to everyone's taste ^_^
Still, thanks for sharing the scans with us!
does anybody know what it says about FFVI Advance in the bottom right corner of http://www.gamesarefun.com/games/gba/ffv/4.jpg this one?!
FFV looks sweet and i'll be getting it, i was just wondering...
I haven't seen those, but I vaguely remember seeing FFVII's Amano art, and the characters looked like nothing they are in the game. I also like Amano's art, it's just that sometimes (like in these FFV pics) the characters look so much different in the game compared to his artwork. FFIV characters were quite recognisable for me, though, and so were FFVI characters.
People dislike FFIX because they're horrible idiots. - Kawaii Ryűkishi
"One-Winged Angel" is far and away the best final boss song ever

They made the world of FF5 look kinda cartoony I think is why. Though I'm not sure why they decided to do that. FF4 and 6 had a serious look to them. And Amano's art has a serious tone about it. So it meshed better. Didn't Amano design all the characters pre-FF7? Why did they stray away from him when designing 5? x_x;
Brand new Amano art. *orgasms*
It also looks like there's gonna be more brand new art for Final Fantasy VI Advance. *orgasms again*
What kind of weird skimpy footless fetish outfits are these?!
what does it say about FF6, somebody here must be able to translate japanese![]()
