Good damage huh, for Tidus, Wakka, and Auron... 99,999. Refer to Magic Urn trick.
Mine can do that so can yours once you get there.
EDIT-Hardest part is getting Break Damage Limit Weapons, so just get their Ultimate ones.

Hmmm, just at the airship. Well I can't really remeber but I think my characters were doing roughly 6k-8k damage at that point. Maybe little more or less.

Here a way to get infinite levels (say good-bye to trainning as you know it)
Equiped an overdrive to Ap weapon and go to the Cavern of the Stolen fayth. Set your overdrive to loner. Get in a battle with a Magic Urn. Have your two other party members escape. And continually press triangle for infinite Ap.
Because...
Loner makes overdrive fill every turn you fight alone.
Overdrive to Ap makes overdrive become AP. The hardest part is costimizing for an Overdrive to AP weapon.

well.. inorder to do that magic urn thing dont you need to have complete the capture thing? and i heard a different one... the one i heard of was Tripple over drive

No you just need to get an overdrive to Ap weapon.
(You can get 99 sphere levels in 1 battle :P)
You can also do the Don Tonberry/Cactuar King trick...
But that would take longer to type and requires you to unlock Don Tonberry or Cactuar King.

umm...
You need either some Wings to Discovery or Door to Tommorow (i think its one of those 2 and I don't know if I called the second one correctly) The easiest way to get those are to do Capturing. In either The Thunder Plains Macalonia Woods, or Cavern of the stolen fayth I think its one of those (sry its been awhile)
