So I did a quick search on the message boards and noticed there hasn't been a freeware games thread (at least not in the past few months), so I decided to make one. Post links to your favourite freeware games~
Number 1: Hakaiman
Hakaiman is a top-down shooter that is one of the better games I've played for free (too bad it's in Japanese and I can't find any passwords so that I don't have to start from level 1 everytime )
Oh, by the way, the controls are:
Shift = Punch, Z = Grenade, X = take out/put back gun
With gun out Shift = Shoot, Z = reload.
This game is really interesting (but must be played with two players, I think). Basically, monsters jump out of grates and you have to spray them with pain of the same colour to get rid of them. It's more fun and difficult than it sounds.
A side-scrolling RPG with a very original battle system. It takes awhiel to get the hang of at first. The story seems interesting, but not alot has been revealed at the point of the game in which I am.
There was this game I used to play while I was in IT class; Operation Spacehog. It is available for free (along with many others) from Free Lunch Design.
A few years back i played a game where chickens were you played an explorer walking in the jungle and you had to kill a bunch of cannibals...the thing is that if the cannibals got near you they would rape you...i don´t remember the name of the game.
