Ok, the guy may be disillusioned, but let's not jump down his throat here. Egging these people on is part of the problem, too.

Hey Vondor. I don't remember you ever being so angry in game. You were a pretty cool guy and I seem to remember you helping Chal get a Garlaige Coffer key when she was first leveling BLM. I can understand how endgame can get to you and make you bitter. I wasn't really trying to say that DRK or DRG suck. I really enjoy DRG and know some great endgame DRGs.

I gues my question was what drove so many people to pursue these jobs. Also, I've noted that when new people start they seem to often have plans of become either a DRK or DRG, implying they are interested in both. I suppose the best answer is because of FFIV. People seem pretty obssessed with Kain and Cecil.

Of course, that doesn't explain other things I wonder about. For instance, what's the deal with pirates!?! I though this was just an FFXI thing where people were obssess with pirates but I've notice that people were really hoping to get a hardcore pirate for the re-release of FFV as well.

The obsession with pirates has been going strong throughout most online communities for some time now. I don't pretend to understand it.

Yearg I was very angry with the community bullsh!t alot of the time I just knew how to hide it well when I needed something done like a cop run or whoring myself on black mandys or scorps. And its one of the reasons why I left, because I never botted I never got an adaman body from an hnm shell although I had virtualy everything else which was best for drk.

I learned that all the time I put into drk and how well I played it, I would never be anything but a stun whore end game, not that sky is fun anyway, well...spending your points for sitting there singing mazurka along with nin buffs and mnk buffs so some taru decked out like a village people member boosting every second and sawking you off for mnd etudes on soul voice lol.

I am trying to explain that it is not us who cause these problems it is the other players who choose to look down on certain jobs which people are stupid enough to believe are noob jobs or that suck.

Pre ranger nerf idmankn and I used to do 6-8 hour grinds in sky for chain 15-16, he used to always want rng only but I invited my drk friend while I was brd and got us all to chain 15 just to prove a point, this was a good while before most people even got to chain 10 up there and yea we all know krt is better....if you can stomach hitting boost for 75 lvls and chi blasting once in a while *yawn*

What made me choose drk and why I love it, is because I hate tanking, hate main healing ( backup healing is fine ), with drk you get to melee and are never expected to tank unless it comes down to saving the whm after your tank dies but that normaly means your whm sucks anyway. Once you hit 66 you also take over thf job ( they hate us and I hate them too unless they are helping me farm haha ), seriously SATA SS is king for light closing KING! What is even more fun is doing those huge dmg numbers with scythe and greatsword, yes they are slow compared to axe and daggers but consider what would happen if you had the same delay, you would be dead in about 30 seconds from hate...also it does take some skill to be able to time absorbs and stuns etc between each swing so your caught up for sc time.

Its all about the spike damage, DOT is nice in some situations but I have played thf and mnk and its boring seeing such pathetic hits even if you are doing more over time, its much more rewarding seeing those swings and literly seeing that hp bar go down.

Redemption is a word that has no meaning here, your lord and master is my dog and we feed him. Your journey takes you inside your own nerve centre and exists through your soul, life or death they both have their purpose, leaving a trail of destruction is both easier and more effective when the ultimate goal is not disclosed that way everyone in your way may be your final chance for sport, like this one. I hear what you say and although the words are there, I think that I can only truely understand you when I hear you scream those words.

Well I don't think that this can be put any further so i think it's safe to say that there is no real reason just different people at different parts of thier life having different preferences. That's as far as I think it'll go.

I am not at endgame knowledge, my highest job is a lvl 52 rdm and i am trying to lvl most of my other jobs to at least 30 (unless i love them in which case i will sooner or later take them to 50 then 75)

I have in that limited period of time playing been angry at RMT's for makin' it soooooo damn'd hard to make some honest cash in game without resorting to Pl'in for money or Selling Tele's or selling raises.
(All of which are legit ways to earn some gil, but i would rather make it by selling useful items on AH -synth stuff or armor and scrolls droped from mobs)

I have joined LS's and then had to leave them because the LS has a collective mentallity of a 5year old.

I have been in crap pt's where they will sacrifice you (usually they are all mates except for me) or just don't bother to keep me alive.
I had one pt when i was a 20 whm and the pt (or maybe just the tanks or whatever) let me keep hate from healing ... needless to say i died in like 3-5 attacks.

True there are (and probably will always be) those uncouth individuals that make you want to pull your hair out and yell at your monitor and all sorts of other stuff ... but F. them !
You gotta play for your own enjoyment ... atleast thats what i think.

Once you hit 75 and join a sky and cop ls which also probably hunts HNM, be prepared to wait long for rare ex abj and weapon and armor drops unless you have more points than the next person who also wants that drop.

To put it in short, you will spend 2-3 nights a week normaly from 5 or 7pm til about 2-3 am, running around trying to pop and kill weak nm's who in turn drop items you need to pop so called harder nm's which are gods, between this time you will be waiting on half arsed people which you probably need just to help kill or make these fights easier.

On top of that if you also do HNM camping, get a gameboy or some junk because you will be waiting at pop locations for a hell of a long time and competing vs botters and idiots and also other good players, sometimes you claim and get $%^& all sometimes you get a drop and this normaly gets split and gil gets handed out in an even manner.

Also be prepared for fellow ls members and leaders to ask you to drop a party or anything else to come do this or that, this is end game it wont change and is like this because at this point in time everyone and their brother are doing the exact same thing.

    Your not missing much.

Something tells me i will probly gain high blood pressure from prolong'd exposure to this game ... or

But i am hoping to get the fun stuff first (lvling, farming, etc. with friends) before i decide to take on the crazy world of end game ...

I have seen the chaos of NM hunting between my LS (Tokinmobile) and the evil RMT's ... and if that wasn't bad enough, sometimes you don't get the drop ...

Wish it was better than it is, but life's a real bi-a-tch ... i don't have a witty way to finish that

anyway ... i gotta go (werk is over YAY)
Hang in there buddy and i hope to chat with ya later

    Peace
    Fue~
