PS3: ZONE OF THE ENDERS 3

It isn't announced, and those folks are focusing on MGS, but if I didn't have a PS3 already when ZOE3 comes out I would get it immediately. I think that would be my dream game of all time.

As for stuff that's actually coming out:
-360-
Gears of War, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Lost Planet, Lumines Live, Phantasy Star Universe (I already have all of the notable non-sports games for the 360, like DOA4, Dead Rising, Chromehounds...)

-PS3-
Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Soul Calibur, MGS, maybe Lair. Nothing coming out this year.

According to Nintendo, the Wii is not a 'next-gen' system. Regardless, I'll list the games I will absolutely get.

Wario Ware, Zelda, Elebits, Dragon Quest, FF Crystal Chronicles, Trauma Center, Wii Sports, Rayman, Super Monkey Ball.
Metroid and Red Steel have a high chance of being picked up by me, but the previously listed games I will definitely be picking up in the first couple of months if I can afford it.

Nope, he read in his EGM telling me that DQIX is confirmed for the Wii.

Theres only been one DQ game confirmed for the Wii, and thats Dragon Quest Swords. DQIX is still unconfirmed.

I read that issue of EGM. It was a rumour that Squenix was considering moving the core DQ series to the Wii. EGMs rumours tend to be pretty accurate, as their sources are more likely to be overheard conversations or drunken employees of relevant companies as opposed to internet chatter. It isn't 'confirmed' yet, but it's quite likely to happen. DQ9 is a separate game from the DQ game that's coming at Wii's launch.

Dragon Quest is a killer app in Japan--in fact it is one of the most powerful game franchises over there. There is a law in Japan that forbids a new Dragon Quest game to be released on any day other than Sundays or Holidays. (people were skipping school/work on the day of release in crippling numbers) As if the Wii didn't have enough potential for success in Japan already, having real Dragon Quest games will further help that.
