Exactly. While English doesn't have a gender neutral pronoun, I think Japanese does. (but I'm not sure.) Quina's gender is meant to be ambiguous. I say again, I think Quina is a hermaphrodite.

Alright, that was badly worded. I meant as an alternative to he or she. None of those fly except maybe they, and even that is stretching. Granted, "it" might work, but meh, the point stands. (Besides, it's considered insulting.)

Rephrase- There is no real, accepted english alternative to he/she.
