I just did the cat nip gunner using trigger happy and the other 2 dark knights to heal, he tends physicaly attack first and then use genesis, if your gunner has haste you may luckily be able to use a second trigger happy which should finish him off.I had problems with him, sometimes i'd beat him sometimes not.
Trema is pretty easy, put protect on your dark knights (id advise using dark knights) and put mana springs at the top of your item list. Firstly use mana springs to drain his mp or he'll use Flare & Ultima. Then just use trigger happy and have the guards heal/revive when necessary. Watch out for Meteor, it requires no mp, and can do about 2000+ damage (depending on your defense levels) just heal and such, should be easy.
REMEMBER THERE IS NO EPISODE COMPLETE FOR BEATING VIA INFINITO!

Bribing sounds easier for the Paragon guy.
Dark Knights can heal?! Just drain though. Well, I'll give that strategy a try and see what happens but my characters are on level 90 or 91. I bet level 99 is recommended since Paragon and Trema are on level 99.

If you are going to survive the fight, you have to kill Paragon like in the first round. Easy enough to do. Equip Yuna as a Dark Knight, Rikku as a Warrior, and Paine as a Gunner, with Cat Nip and a Speed Bracer, her HP in the yellow. Have all of them equipped with either the Highroad Winds or Mounted Assault garment grid for the First Strike ability. When the fight begins, have Yuna cast Black Sky, Rikku cast Sentinel, and Paine use Trigger Happy lv. 3. If you hit the R1 button fast enough, you can get at least 15-20 shots in, and then the Dark Knights will finish Paragon off. It might not even get to make a single move.

And, I don't think that the whole Cat Nip + Invincible combo is true. I've never tested it, but Cat Nip doesn't let the player do maximum damage, it specifically lets the player do 9999 damage, no more no less.

would it work on Trema (that strategy)? i think i might want to bribe paragon (guess Lord Zaon is into money then) and fight Trema (don't think he likes money).

No, Trema needs a slightly finer tuned strategy. I would suggest using two Warriors and a Cat Nip + Speed Bracer Gunner. After draining Trema's MP with some Mana Springs, have the Warriors stay in Sentinel. This way, even single attack Trema does to them will do a measly one HP of damage, even every hit of Meteor. Then, just have the Gunner wail of Trema, and use one of the Warriors to revive the Gunner when necessary. This battle will take a while no matter what you do, and this strategy isn't fullproof because of the timing factor that Trema may be able to take advantage of, but I've had it work several times.

I would bother bribing Paragon, just kill it, you can do it.

I do bother bribing Paragon (cannot kill it, in time at least).

I will try the 2 Warrior, Gunner with Cat Nip and Speed Bracer thing. He's just too fast....
and I don't care if the square button makes scene skip, resulting in some completion percentage miss, I don't wanna see that godforsaken long scene 7 more times!!! *stamps foot around the room and throws cardboard boxes everywhere, one wasn't empty* (crash!)

I hated that, but its best not to skip it. Imagine how infuriating it will be to find out it that you won't get 100% because of it and you'd have to do it again.

I got 99% on my first go, the only thing i missed is the PR campaigns....thats 0.2% of the games whole percentage.......how lovely.

I think Paragon might be easier on Oversoul, because his physical attacks missed me a lot for some reason.

As for Trema, his physical attack can inflict stop, so something to guard against that is needed, such as high luck. He only has 999 MP so drain with things such as Soul Springs or Mana Springs. That way, he can't use Flare, Demi or Ultima. He can still use Meteor though, but only twice in the battle. Also, using a chocobo wing to get a speed advantage is good too. I think most of the strategy for beating Trema has already been said by other people.

If it still doesn't work, leveling up could help.

Oh and an interesting thing is, after you beat Trema (this might be a spoiler)
(SPOILER)You can go back to fight Paragon

*sigh* If only the Trema would not attack so much.... Even with First Strike and Auto-Haste, my characters are not quick enough to evade his attacks... Ironically, the magic thing I can handle........
Well, I've seen the good ending and I'm told that the "Perfect Ending" is not even a FMV. So maybe someone can send me a site that shows the perfect ending? Or tell me what happens to Trema (if someone has defeated him).

Umm....if you have trouble with his physical attacks I suppose you could use Auto-Protect or Sentinel. Also Luck can really help in this battle.

And the spoiler I said, it doesn't have anything to do with the ending or the storyline. It's just something that people who haven't beaten Trema might not know.

EDIT: Sorry, it's been a long time and I can't remember exactly what happens after Trema is beaten.

I had auto protect on my other 2 characters.
In the response to the spoiler, can you? how? just go back?

After you beat Trema, go back to Via Infinito where you fought Paragon and you'll see what I mean.

I had to Trigger Happy with cat nip the anacanduar that Yunalesca turn into three times!

Beating Black Element you let a darknight use darkness one and to other dark knight use darkness.

Or have one Dark Knight attack and the other Dark knight darkness.
First turn use darkness while it loads have the other two Dark knight attack it.
