I just started playing RE4 that my friend let me borrow (along with his GC) and man do I have to disagree with you. This is one of the greatest games I've played in a long while. It's freaking crazy. I was never a fan of the RE series, but I hope all of them are like this from now on.
Fair enough, I was just a bigger fan of the previous games. There was a lot more emphasis on getting closer to the goal by puzzle solving as well as action. RE4 mostly just seemed like mindless action.
Some people think that final fantasy x was the best in the series, of course they r all on drugs. The only good thing about that game was the graphical leap and the control of the aeons, that was sweet. The hero acts like a little b*tch and looks like a girl, ff10 would have to be the most overrated game next to the halo franchise and elder scrolls oblivion
id agree, and i think its probably because all those ppl are new comers and would have no idea if you talked to them about any FF before that.
I'm not a newcomer to the Final Fantasy series, and I think X is an exceptional game.

Gnostic: I disagree entirely with Chrono Cross, but I agree fully with FFT. And in some MMOs the monsters have respawn timers that last for eight hours, or even a whole day. That does make me sad.

that resapwn timer reminds me of some of FFXI... it makes facing up to a HNM so much more epic then if it was spammed back instantly when it died n_n.
Halo is somewhat overrated, although I do like it. It's mostly something XBox owners will take and say, "HA! We actually have a good game for this piece of [censored] console! It's ours, [female dogs], all ours!"
Without Halo, the XBox would be simply average.
Also, every Final Fantasy game ever made has been overrated. Sorry, guys. I like FF, and I really enjoy VII and IX, but to those who call it the greatest RPGs ever made...ugh, no.
There are other existing RPG franchises much better than FF.
I prefer the term "Treasure Hunter".
Like what? Dragon Quest/Warrior is the only franchise that comes to mind that's competition for Final Fantasy.
I've never played Halo, (played a bit of Halo 2 once, but not enough to get into it) so I wont call it overrated. Although I am sick of hearing about it like it's the cure for AIDS or something.I'm sure it's not the be all end all of FPS games.
Dragon's Lair is the most overrated game in history: everyone rates it 2/10, it deserves a lower score.
Damn it, I hate that game, it's SO UNFAIR! >_<
You have to choose from 3-4 different pathways after every damn level, and one of them takes you back to the START!
Halo 2 is definitly over rated. Not Halo 1 cause it IS that great, but Halo 2 definitly is.

To me it seems to be loved more due to the fact that its got a movie and an anime with it.I don't even think Final Fantasy VII can be considered overrated anymore, it seems to get more hate that love these days...
Also hated due to the amount of times enix have milked it so far.
