I think Harry dying would be going against a lot of what the books have been about so far. Harry's mother sacrificed her life to save Harry. So in the end, having Harry die would mean that all this hoo-haw about love being so incredibly powerful would be void since in the end, Lily's love and her sacrifice for Harry to live would have been in vain.

Unless Harry and Voldemort kill each other which might be a possibility.

But the series will never ever end with Harry dying and Voldemort living. Just, no.
