I told my first girlfriend that I loved her. I was sincere enough in greatly liking her, but when you are six, you really do not have a proper idea of what "love" is and entails. The word "love" and the phrase "I love you" are and have been so overused that I am not surprised that I thought I knew all about it at that age.
