I tend to use natural light because turning on the light doesn't give me any more than the sun and is simply wasting energy.
I like to sit with only the light from the monitor.
Depends on the room. Most of the time, you'll want natural light.
Fluorescent lighting is the worst !

Artificial light versus natural light is actually a really interesting topic.
Natural light activates processes in your body that create vitamins to help keep you healthy. It's always a good idea to leave the house every day.
Artificial light can be really beautiful in many situations. For example, if you like to study people, next time you're in a subway station or airport, take note of how the artificial lights emphasize different things about different people.

I love natural light. It just makes the place look beautiful without icky yellow lights marring the naturalness.
I prefer natural light by far... too bad I work a night shift and sleep most of the day with a thick curtin covering my window.
