With eyeliner, you're supposed to pull your eyelid down a bit and pit it on the rim of it, above the lower eyelashes. It's tricky at first. And I only like light colours for eyeshadow as well. I like this purple colour that comes out light, but noticable, and it makes my eyes look extra green. Good luck, Xandy~
