They kept saying there was going to be a big announcement at PAX06 and that it wasn't going to be a cartoon.
Regardless, awesome.
I saw that yesterday on digg and it was :o worthy. I hope they're in charge of ALL the art and, more importantly, the script. It has the potential to be awesome, and I can't see them letting it turn into a pathetic cash-in. It better be good.
Everyone needs to stop lying to themselves, its going to be terrible and we all know it.
Hmm, the idea certainly has lots of potential, but I can see this going horribly wrong. No doubt it'll be hilarious, and remain true to the style of the comics, but whether the game itself will be enjoyable or not isn't clear. If the concept's well executed, though, it'll definitely be an interesting prospect.

Penny Arcade's brand of humor has never been particuarily appealing to me, some of it is funny but most of it seems to fall fairly flat. But I'd be interested to see how they will make this work.
They should have gotten Nintendo to do it. >_>

The article hints heavily at the fact that it'll be a point-and-click adventure in the vain of the old Lucas Arts games, so it's safe to assume it won't be action-oriented.
And the fact that they're scripting a type of game where the script makes it has me very enthusiastic.

If it is in the vain of point and click adventures then I will pass. I never enjoy those. On the bright side it is pretty hard to screw up a point and click adventure game.
