Why is it that so many new members get banned?

I saw one newB make fun of an admins art work and that person was gone about 2 posts later.

Piss off other people and insult them and you get a warning ,but if you t-off an admin and insult him or her.....yah.....

That's kind of unfair...you make it sound like the admins are spiteful and vindictive. The context is usually important.

Nothing is unfair about it...stupidity is as fair as intelligence. You either have it or you don't. One or the other. Some people are just stupid fools and taunt or annoy admins to the point to where admins see some one that is in general a pest or just some one that is altogether better off not posting at a place such as this forum.
