Why is it that so many new members get banned?

If some one get banned, how long would it be until he comes back to the forum?. just thought to ask.

It's for two years and then you may request to come back.

*chokes on air* That's how shocked I am!!! Two years??? Cripeys, that's a bit harsh. Though it is very useful to know that.

I think you being able to come back at all is quite generous, I know if I banned someone on my forum, they'd never come back.
