    Default Powerpoint Help

I did ask someone else, but since this particular person acted so "nice," I'll just ask my question in here.

Anyways, I was wondering if there was a way I could put a text box into Powerpoint and possibly remove some letters in the text box through custom animation. Like, this is how it would happen:
    ____ ___
    |help| ----> |elp| and the h is shown moved or displaced. I know I can do this by making two boxes, and then showing the h removed in the second box, but I want it to be in the same box (after the click, showing the animation). Sorry if this doesn't make much sense.

Um at the bottom of my powerpoint there is a toolbar and 5 tools away from something that says Autoshapes there is a textbox tool. And the second part I have no idea (partly because I am not entirely sure what you mean)

It's sort of the same as having two text boxes, but why not just have several slides, and remove one letter in successive ones. It's imperceptible to the viewer as more than one slide.
