    Default Dave Navarro

Is he really all that great? I mean, I don't think I've heard any songs by him, though I have heard of the bands he's played with.

Plus the fact that I'm obssed with him really helps.

Navarro became famous for his work with Jane's Addiction, an alternative rock/funk band from the 80's. Think Red Hot Chili Peppers but more straight up rock. Their older stuff like the 1988 album Nothing's Shocking is a bit of an acquired taste, though they did release a new album in 2003 which has a more modern rock sound you might like to check out. Singles like 'Just Because' from the newer album, and the 'Mountain Song', 'Stop' and 'Been Caught Stealing' from the older stuff would be worth checking out if you want to hear Dave in the band he's really famous for.

Other stuff he's done includes a brief stint as a member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist (and funnily enough, Flea played a Jane's Addiction tour as a fill in bassist, as well on horns on an album or too), and his new band The Panic Channel, which is basically the latest Jane's Addiction line-up with a new singer.

Chuck Noblet: Can anyone tell me the tragic irony of the Trojan War? Tina? Tina: Um, that horses are friendly creatures yet a hollow, wooden one was used to destroy Troy? Chuck Noblet: Wrong and no. Anyone else? Chip? Chip: That the mighty warrior Achilles was killed by a small cut to his ankle. Chuck Noblet: Chip is wronger. OK, here it is. The tragic irony of the Trojan War is that though it was fought over Helen, who was young and beautiful, by the time they rescued her ten years later, she was old and ugly. Tina: But wasn't recovering the king's wife reward enough for the Greeks? Chuck Noblet: Tina, an ugly woman is never a reward.

He was great in Jane's Addiction. Jane Says can get stuck in my head pretty easily.

Did the celebrity look-alike thing in another thread, and for some reason it said I look like him, even though I'm a girl.

He seems rather odd to me, but he was cool in Celebrity Poker Showdown

He's okay. I've never heard him truly let rip on guitar but form what I've heard he's pretty good.

    A thoasand times better than Gilby Clarke, who is <img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif">.

    Durn right!!

I just recently found out about The Panic Channel, though. And I'm more obsessed with his FWIONESS! Yesterday I heard a song from one of his old albums...I think it was called Everything. Sounded okay to me.

I'll be sure to go and check out The Panic Channel...Just one question: Are they WORTH checking out? I mean, are they a good band or what?

I really don't know if he's actually any good, but he used to be married to Carmen Electra... that's all I need to know to think he's cool
