Both my wife and kid play too! And my wife is 38. I have an inlaw that plays games all the time and he is in his mid forties. I'm currently playing Call of Duty 2 on my 360. I'm really looking forward to playing FF12! But right now I'm mad because I cannot beat that very last guy on GUN to save my life . Gaming is something I really enjoy doing and I don't plan on stopping.
I really would like some input on what I have just said. Should I stop my favorite past time because I was born almost 40 years ago? I just can't think of a reason on why I should.
Hey there's someone older than me!

I'm 35 years old, wife, kids, job, mortgage, minivan, the whole works. I still play video games, and I don't see why I would stop. I started playing video games when I was young (I wonder how many quarters I pumped into the arcades back then), I played through college (I think Metriod caused to miss a an exam once), and now I play as an adult.
Currently I'm playing Call of Duty, World or Warcraft, and I just picked up Dirge of Cerberus.

Don't forget that a lot of 'older people' are the ones making the games, so it would help if they played them too... you know... so they know what makes a good game and what doesn't.

The way I see it is it doesn't matter how old someone is. As long as they enjoy it then there's nothing wrong with it. For example if someone says "Your too old to play video games" well, that's crap. It's kind of like with anime where I live, they all think that anybody who watches anime is a retard or a loser just because the only thing they really base it on are massively popular anime like Pokemon, they don't understand that Pokemon is directed to a younger audience while there are shows that are directed for an older audience like Hellsing or NGE (lol I'd love to see a 6 year old try to understand that show). Video games are the same way, any age group can enjoy them. Actually for some storylines you'd need to be older/wiser/smarter to understand, sometimes I'll get a plot twist that makes me go "Wait...wtf?". Anyway that's what I think, wow that was alot of ranting.
