Did anyone else think that the Bard Song from FF3 was very, very similar to Edward's Theme from FF4?
It's the same instrument, the same tempo, the same tempo shifts etc.
They are basically siblings in the music world!![]()

I cannot find "Bard Song" on the OST, is there another name for it?

The only bardy-type song I can find on FF3's OST is Lute of Noah, which doesn't seem to resemble anything I've heard from FF4![]()
Yes, that was the name!
What the hell?
I always thought they were pretty much the same song! XD
Dammit, cl_out, don't you think it resembles Edward's Theme at all?

Not as similar as say the chocobo themes are across games![]()
They do sound somewhat similar, but Gilbert's theme is a bit longer.
Calling it "Bard Song" is pretty terrible, man. Part of what makes that song so great is its connection to Noah.
I think the only similar thing is the instrument.

The songs are called "Lute of Noah" and "Melody of Lute" in FFIII and FFIV, respectively. The melody patterns sound quite similar, and they surely remind me of each other, but I don't think they're the same song.
