In New Zealand you have to pass 3 tests which suck for the following reasons:

Learners: You take a written test consisting of 35 questions, only allowed to get 3 wrong. Pass and you can drive as long as there is a parent with you.

Restricted: After waiting 6 months after passing your learners you can go for this. It's the 1st driving test easy. Pass and you can drive at certain times of the day.

Full: After waiting 1 year after passing the restricted test you take another driving test. Pass and now you can drive a car like a proper person.

I failed my permit test the first time I took it because I didn't know what to do when you're falling asleep at the wheel.

I failed my license test the first time because I couldn't parallel park to save my life.

Thankfully I don't have to do it again.

last year i took the theory exam and i got 49/50 which is awesome....now to actual drive the thing...thats another story lol still need to get my P's
