Sound clips
Does anyone know how to take a sound file, make it shorter (as in, leave out the parts of the song you don't want), and insert it into Powerpoint Presentation? I tried to use Window Video Maker to shorten my sound file, then just insert that into the presentation, but that just ended up horribly. Any ideas?

Use Audacity. It's kind of like Photoshop for sound. Well, more like The Gimp, because it's open-source.
As for putting it into Powerpoint, I imagine it would just be Insert > Object > Sound clip, or something along those lines. I use Openoffice, sorry I can't be more precise.
