Okay. I downloaded some brushes, and now I have them in zip files. How do I get them from there to be usable in GIMP?

Unzip the folder, then copy the brushes into the GIMP brushes folder.
My Computer -> C: Drive -> Program Files -> GIMP-2.0 -> share -> gimp -> 2.0 -> brushes.
You need to have admin privileges for this to work.

Ah. I see. Easy enough. I never would have thought of that.

I spent 10 minutes this morning figuring it out.

Oh wow. That sucks. For you, not me. I didn't have to spend the time. So thanks for that. Hah.![]()
Anyways, thanks again for the help. Is this how I would go about adding fonts and all that other stuff too?

I prefer putting brushes in my C: > Documents and Settings > (username) > .gimp-2.2 > brushes folder, but that's a preferenceAt least that will work without admin rights, but will only add the brushes for your user and not everyone that uses the computer
For normal truetype fonts, I'd put them in the Windows Fonts folder instead in the Control Panel so all programs can use themFor anything else, yeah, you can use similar steps as for brushes, but using the appropriate folder instead of the brushes one inside the gimp folder
Where's the windows font folder?
Edit: I found it in the C: Drive under WINDOWS.
