Firstly, calm down!
Secondly, you can bribe 30-40 Lv. 3 key spheres from Demonolith for 900,000 gil. If you go to the monster arena, you don't even have to wait to encounter them.

Also, you can bribe chimera brains for 2 lv. 4 key spheres (which I was just informed of the other day...) for 196,000 gil.

I seem to recall L2 and L3 key spheres dropping from Defender Zs in Zanarakand(sp?)

to get lv4 key spheres from, chimera brain u hav to bribe 245,000 gil.

defender Z's droplv 2 and 3 key spheres in the zanarkand dome. it is more likely they will drop lv2 spheres but it shouldn't take too long to get all the lv3 key spheres u need

Aww. Yeah Omega Ruins is the best place to get them. I just keep getting overkills and most of the enemies drop them. I hope thats not just me and my game though.

It's worth mentioning now that arguably one of the best ways to gain money is in the Omega Ruins. If you have the Gillionaire ability equipped on someone (Rikku's Celestial Weapon has it when powered up), and you kill one of the Mimic boxes (they look like treasure chests but become a kind of evil birdman thing when you try to steal from them), you'll get 100,000 gil per battle. I personally prefer killing off One-Eye for money, usually once I start doing 99999 damage against him and can kill him in two rounds. His Triple AP stuff sells for a lot of money.

And don't be too disheartened by all of the key spheres. All in all it's not that difficult to find enough to clear every key node in the grid. What you will go nutty about is trying to customise the grid with +4 stat nodes

The best suggestion I can give is to just be patient with the Omega Ruins. Getting into battles there will help you level up quickly, and once you can defeat the fiends with more ease, finding the key spheres will not seem so tedious.

I think i can remember lvl 3 key spheres being a rare steal from at least more than one monster in the monster arena (original) One of them being Nemesis. Equip someone with that ability (errr forget what its called) that allows you to steal rare items only. Steal so many times then if hes too hard for you just flee
