You don't have to be gay to not wanting to have a girlfriend at a certain point. And the keyword in his post being "at this point", meaning that girls will be worth his time and effort at a later point in his life, just not right now.

Maybe he just broke up with someone
Maybe he's got very much else to do.
Maybe he wants flings instead of serious relationships.
