I think there should be a party....with .....party stuff...yeah.

Well in FF8 Don't level up until you have the bonuses like strength bonus and the other bonuses equipped so when you do level up you get +1 to your strength and stuff.
that works i guess but i have trouble with the sphere grid too so....

The sphere grid is easy. Just go back to a place where there are monsters you can beat. Or summon aeons every single fight and make Yuna incredibly powerful. your choice.
Leveling up dosent take much skill, if your finding leveling up hard, go to a previous area with weaker enemies. That is, if your problem is fighting hard enemies...
