I first read the thread title as "capes" and now I'm disappointed.
I myself find capes to be rather annoying, as they always seem to get stepped on or caught in doors or jet engines or something.

I once superglued a towel to myself like a cape b4... I felt so kewl I was like jumping down stairs pretending to fly and stuff
They look cool in video games but then everything is flashy i video games that aren't in real life.

I have a cape and once I was running away from my brother and I used an all white cape to hide myself against a wall....see, capes arent just to look kewl...

Long capes that trail on the floor, are not good. Collecting dirt on your cape! That's gross. Unless of course you were sweeping a floor purposefully with your cape, then I would be impressed by its novelty. As long as the floor was sweeped well that is. An the cape was specifically only used for that purpose. Capes are nice when worn in the right way. But not everybody can pull off wearing a cape.
As a chocobo it would be difficult to wear a cape. So I don't know.
