Where is the best places to level up/ get money on there?

Neos is the best place to get money for a while... Where are you in the game?

Look for liquid metal slimes. They can be found in Trodain Castle. They're rare as hell and run away alot but each one you kill gives 11,000 EXP each and they only have like 5 HP.

If you have already completed the Dark World, then goto Howlwind Hill, located near the tower or Rydon, I think thats the towers name.

You will notice it by the clouds that hover over it. There is noting but slimes there, and usually you will get the gay ones. But you may also be lucky and get 6 liquid metal slimes (10050 exp) or even a couple Metal King Slimes (30000+ exp)

The most exp I have gotten in one battle was a little over 60K ( 3 liquids and a King)

Since a lot of them like to run away remember to use executioner with Yangus, Needle Shot with Angelo, and Metal Slash with Hero.

about to go to the dark world

After you get back from the dark world, there's a ledge in the Dragon Graveyard (the desert in the south of the western continent), where you'll find quite a good occurence of liquid metal slimes.

Its much more worth your while to go after these, rather than the metal king slimes. Sure the metal king slimes give you 30k exp each, but they usually run away, and are hard to hit. The likihood of killing one is very low.

Liquid metal slimes commonly occur in bunches, and at 8000 exp each, can yield a good haul of exp.

EDIT: you'll only see liquid metal slimes at the ledge in the dragon graveyard at night. But the occurence rate is still pretty high

Now I need to find a place to gain a ton of gold before I fight Dholmagus. Where's a good place to gain alot of gold up to that point?

I think this was said before, but Neos is great for gold. The Gold Golems which are a generously common encounter there give 750 Gold a pop. Later, however, your money-making targets will change...

the only difficult part about the dhoulmagus fight is how annoying he is and he also gets maybe 3 attacks/turn

2 attacks per turn. He's not too bad though.

If you can get Angelo to learn multi-heal he's pretty much easy.
