I was never a big fan of steve irwin, he never treated the animals in his show the way they should have been, but even so it is always sad to see someone die before their time

What a shame. I wasn't much of a fan of him but its still terribly sad the way he died. And terribly unlucky, and scary.
My sympathies go to his family and everyone who knew and cared about him. RIP
This is so sad.... I liked him. I was watching him on TV about an hour before I found out....
I made this sig. Yay!!!!!!
Not to sound insensitive, but it was bound to happen sometime. Line of work he was in (or was that just a HOBBY for him?), something was bound to slip up. Sucks that it was something so cheap as a stingray, though.
PH33R teh Rainbow.
Taste the Rainbow
I used to watch him as a kid ;__;
But like others have said, atleast it was doing something he loved. He rocked.
He was -- awesome. Like...a legend. Seriously. I never watched his show that often, but he was still an icon and a legend to us all. :/ RIP, you. And may you hunt crocodiles a-plenty in Heaven~
I didn't believe it at first, after reading part of the first article I was linked to I went and found some others, 'cause I thought it was a joke.
But sadly it's not He was a great guy, lots of fun to watch, and he will be missed.
We've most of us grown up watching him piss off the most dangerous animals on the planet without a second's hesitation, and walking away from it. I guess after all that, it didn't seem possible that one of them would actually get him, however sensible a conclusion it might be.
I really wish his death was more gruesome. I mean, come on, after all he was around and he gets owned by a sting-ray? I mean, I was expecting JAWS to come and tear him to pieces.:rolleyes2
Yeah, thought it would never happen, shocked to hear the news. RIP Steve.
Str8 Pimpin'
there was a picture here
It was the first thing I noticed on the news page when I got on the internet.
Jeez, this sucks.
I'm reminded of that delivery commercial where he's bit by a snake and dies because the antidote hadn't arrived in the mail.
Steve, May you Rest in Peace.
The itching sensation is a good thing.
yeh, what a legend Steve Irwin was... really sad to see him go. Of all the creatures he came across, i wouldn't have picked a sting ray to be the culprit. Everyone in Australia is sad , as i know lots of other people around the world are...
Wow wtfaku. RIP. Seems ironic and unbelieveable, but he did what he did best.
