It wouldn't be so great. They waste more and more money remaking things. Why remake it? If it's so legendary, legends aren't supposed to be ruined.

true, but who's to say that a remake would ruin final fantasy 7. personally, i think that a remake of ff7 would be great. the prospect of playing ff7 with the graphics of advent children is pretty cool, but i highly doubt this will ever happen. it would be 7 years before it was released if they started working on it NOW (that is presuming they haven't already started work on it 8-)) but it seems that no matter how many times square say "we are not remaking ff7 for the ps3" there will always be someone that just plain isn't listening. the ps3 tech demo has obviously been more trouble than it's worth!?

FFVII was great as it was.

It would be nice. It'd probably be better to wait for a later generation console, so FFVII could age a bit more...
