    Isn't that, like, vandalizing? Don't they get penalized for that?
    Do they erase the chalk art immediately after they're done with taking a photograph of it?

    Often it's not vandalizing if it's not permanent. And for the amount of time they spend on those I wouldn't be surprised if they get a permit or something of the sort from the city.
