hahah well we were always about living the lifestyle, no matter how much money we had or were on tour...probably why we didn't have many fans...but that singing like they're having orgasms all the time thing is a good line...i think it describes the BEST singers though

Let me put it in a different way then.

It is unfair that boybands like Westlife get to play on stage infront of so many people when bands that have a lot more talent than them are left sitting in pubs and rundown clubs because the music scene prefers sex appeal to actual good music, hell if you wanna see good hairstyles and sexy boys/girls then go to a fasion show. Music is not about fasion or sex appeal music is about music, it seems so many people have actually forgotten about that, its a shame.
By that's your view. Westlife get to play in huge concerts and such because they ARE a huge success, they've made millions. Surely they must have some talent. Just because a band doesn't play in a pub or rundown clubs and plays "pop" music doesn't mean they aren't talented. All music has to grow and some bands it takes longer. I know of heaps of small bands who are growing and gaining success - they come from pubs and clubs but have grow into their own record deals.

Westlife had to start somewhere, obviously the recording studio who bought them though they'd sell and they did. Who's to judge if they sold for their music, looks or both?

First of all, I would like to aplogoise to you and other people here incase I was being harsh, you are all great people and im glad I can have good debates with you.

I can see where your coming from, but in my eyes and so many of my fellow musicans eyes, bands like that are not worthy to be called musicans. Musicans play for the enjoyment, the passion, the feeling and the experiance. Not to make money or steal womens hearts or boost sex appeal. But in a way, I see what you mean. There are some very talented pop groups out there, that dont flaunt thier sex appeal and dont give a monkeys if people think they look good or not. Those pop bands play for the joy of playing music, not to earn money. But I guess there are so many sub genres in the pop music culture that it is hard to define what I mean.

Im not bothered if I become famous or not, I just wanna enjoy playing music as much as I can. It just pisses me off when most people I have talked to think Blue or Westlife or 50 Cent or Dizzy Rascal are the greatest musical artists of all time.
