By that's your view. Westlife get to play in huge concerts and such because they ARE a huge success, they've made millions. Surely they must have some talent. Just because a band doesn't play in a pub or rundown clubs and plays "pop" music doesn't mean they aren't talented. All music has to grow and some bands it takes longer. I know of heaps of small bands who are growing and gaining success - they come from pubs and clubs but have grow into their own record deals.
Let me put it in a different way then.
It is unfair that boybands like Westlife get to play on stage infront of so many people when bands that have a lot more talent than them are left sitting in pubs and rundown clubs because the music scene prefers sex appeal to actual good music, hell if you wanna see good hairstyles and sexy boys/girls then go to a fasion show. Music is not about fasion or sex appeal music is about music, it seems so many people have actually forgotten about that, its a shame.
Westlife had to start somewhere, obviously the recording studio who bought them though they'd sell and they did. Who's to judge if they sold for their music, looks or both?
