Personally, I think it's doubly lame since I'm left-handed and will certainly use the Wiimote with my left hand.
Hmmm.
Well, in the old games they simply flipped the sprite for right and left IIRC. The story used to be that he always made sure his sword was on the side of Death Mountain.
The ideal choice would have been to make Link customizable, so lefties could swing lefty and righties right (I think that's obvious but the article makes it sound like Nintendo had not figured that out). I'll be playing with my GC controller though so I suppose I would rather him stay the lefty he has been for the last three games. Eh.
I cant use my left hand for anything, so I guess for us righties its a bonus. Pity about lefties.
Perhaps it'd be better if you could change it in the options. The hand he uses doesn't really seem like a big deal when it comes to gameplay, so it should be a simple matter of switching an option.
He still uses his left hand in the gamecube version.
Flipping the entire game? That's so odd! O_o
Does mirroring the entire game mean that a room that would be to your right in the Wii version would be to your left if you were standing in the same spot in the GCN version?
Yeah, pretty much.
Seems pretty bad for the left handed, surely they will implement it in the options for hand control
Since I'm a big fan of the games and I've never even freaking noticed what handed Link is, I'm going to have to say that it really doesn't matter to me. The difference in layout between the Wii and GC versions would be very strange, yet interesting, though.
