    Well, it doesn't have to be that. If the translators had no creativity, you'd get kururu and garufu. Although, usually ru is l, and I suppose if we did that for both of the ru's in karuru, that wouldn't work, but the official "romanization" is Krile (I've been to official Japanese websites) I think, so "Kril" is how you pronouce it I think. The ri part is soft enough that it sounds more like a ru, and the second ru is just an le.

    Any Japanese site that refers to her as Krile is just blindly adhering to the FFAnthology translation without any regard for basic phonetics or consistency with established norms. The official romanization apart from that disaster, as included in various Square merchandise, is indeed Klulu.

    I could aaaaalmost stretch it and see kururu become krul based on norms, but turning that into Krile is one hell of a stretch. It would come out somewhere closer to the word cruel, which doesn't seem to fit her, especially when she's dressed as White Mage
