Square Enix hints at broader format support
Hmm...this is front page news at Gamasutra.
Square Enix s.v.p. Michihiro Sasaki said:

not really, the Final Fantasy series is probbly the bigest series in gameing history and as such millions of people will buy the console for the fact that it will have a Final Fantasy game on it (myself being one of them) so not really, no.Originally Posted by The Infinite Telomerase
I've never bought a console just for Final Fantasy and it's my favourite RPG series. I've also never bought a console for one developer, either. Though that's why a lot of people bought their Game Cubes. :P
Considering the fiasco surrounding the PS3 now it's no wonder Squenix are having second thoughts about making FF a Playstation-only title.
