I've never listened to Death Cab specifically, but I've heard it's the same frontman as The Postal Service. How do they sound in comparison?
-
death cab are more kinda slow...bleh. I dunno. I like some of their stuff, I quite like Plans and a couple of the old albums, but some of it does seem depressing to me >> Like "I will follow you into the dark" about someone dying basically.... I think they are okay...but I prefer the postal service because I like more upbeat stuff. I love the beats on the postal service,
I remember drifting half to sleep while listening to that.... Postal service is more electronic and stuff I guess, LastFM describes them as "indietronica". The other half of postal service has some other stuff like James Figurine and I really like that. If you like the electronic side of postal service you'd probably like James Figurine too.
Anyway I'm going off of the point, sorry. I find it really hard to explain music though. I like death cab but have to be in the right sort of mood for that music which is not often. When doing some work at 2 in the morning once it seemed kinda nice.

I don't like many of their songs, but I do really like "Soul meets Body".

Death Cab are what I would call sensitive boy midtempo indie rock. some of their stuff is really good. i like about half the songs on each of plans and transatlanticism.

I love this band, and Plans is a great album. I'll Follow You Into the Dark is great, and I like Soul Meets Body as well. One of the coolest things about them is that the defy all genre classification. It's like a mix of rock, pop, alternative, and almost everything else.

I really, really disliked them until I saw them live. They put on a fantastic show, and now I pick around their offerings.
Signature by rubah. I think.
