A *proper* IQ test is a graded curve. The "average" score is automatically 100- doesn't matter how many you answer right, if you're average, you're 100. In as much as that is, it's accurate. Plus IQ tests are based on logical interpretation of data, no actual knowlege, so they can do that, too. It's also based on age, as adults are more mentally developed than children (theoretically).
What an IQ test really does is give an idea of your potential to quickly and accurately process complicated information. That's all. You can still waste that potential.
FYI- my IQ test anywhere between 120 and 170.... depending on what sort of test. Appearantly I'm creative/intuitive- which means I'm *extremely* good at coming to accurate conclusions without having to conciously process the data. Makes me a good artist, but a bad student. Also made the military try to recruit me into their Games&Theory stuff. Military strategy and applications of technology. No thank you, boys and girls, I have moral objections.
